Well, we closed a very high gestalt: on the fourth trip to Dubai, the Burj Khalifa observation deck finally got into the gallery of our phones.

We will tell you in detail: from services where it is more profitable to buy tickets, to the names of places with an excellent view of Dubai at night instead of the tower.

Tallest building - tower information

Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest building in the world. Plus, the tower houses the highest observation deck, restaurant and elevator.
Everyone knows that.

But not everyone is aware that a larger-scale structure is being built in Dubai - Dubai Creek Tower, which, according to assurances, will bypass the skyscraper by 100 meters.

The best place for a photo with the tower is from Bin Rashid Boulevard / And this view
opens from the 124th floor of the observation deck of Burj Khalifa

So do it while Burj Khalifa still holds the record! :)

  • What's inside: offices, apartments, hotel, restaurant - standard.
  • How many floors are available for visiting: 124th and 125th floors, 148th and lounge on floors 152-154.
  • Overall height: 828 meters, total of 163 floors.
  • BUT! Observation height: 452 meters for the 124th floor, 555 meters for the 148th and 585 meters for the 152nd.
  • The lift takes: ≈ 1 minute.
  • Working hours: 08:30—23:00.

Officially, the observation deck of Burj Khalifa is called At The Top. And in combination with the 148th floor - At The Top Sky.
Address - 1 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.

Where to buy Burj Khalifa tickets?

City view and Singing fountains from above

To visit Burj Khalifa, tickets are booked online. It is possible on the spot, at the box office, but in the near future, they say, it will be available only after 5-7 days.

We bought standard tickets on GetYourGuide because:

  • Here they cost at least 5 dirhams cheaper (the official website of BH adds a commission).
  • This is an authorized ticket seller, not a left-hand reseller.
  • The site is in Russian (just in case, there is a button for switching the language).

Choose the time and how many people - enter the name-mail-phone number - pay - you receive a voucher on the e-mail, which must be printed in advance and exchange at the box office for a ticket. Easily!

What is the best time to choose?

The queues at the checkout are already at 10:00 - you better come to the opening
and take tickets online

It’s logical what it’s like when there are fewer people. Burj Khalifa in Dubai is a hyper popular attraction. There are few squares on the lookout, but the number Chinese those who want to take a photo (and not one, but a whole series) are simply over-shka-li-va-e even in the low season for the UAE.

Our ticket was for 9:00. We freely exchanged the voucher, passed the security check and got up to the elevator - all without waiting. But at 10, when we went down, a sickly queue gathered to the ticket offices and the elevator! The photo will be in the text.
So, if you read the reviews of tourists that it took three hours to get to the tower and two of them were spent in queues, there is some truth in this.

Should I go day or night?
If you don't want to pay extra for the sunset (when you can see both sunny Dubai and the evening with lights), choose the day period. And watch Dubai at night from the open terrace at the Level 43 Sky Lounge bar - from 18:00 to 20:00 there is a happy hour, and a cocktail costs 35-50 dirhams! We did just that.

How to get to Burj Khalifa?

You should be guided by such signs when you go to the entrance to the site.

If you are on the metro, the main landmark is Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall station.

Drive up, get out - and a long-and-inny transition begins to the shopping center itself, 6-7 minutes at a quick pace.

  • Be careful, don't miss the glass door on the right when entering the Dubai Mall. There are no signs, but this is the exit to the elevator ...
  • ... where you need to get to the LG floor, follow the signs to At The Top - and you are a few meters from the ticket office.

The whole journey from the carriage to the ticket offices took us ≈ 10 minutes at a quick step.

Well, if you are by taxi, then the taxi driver knows exactly where Burj Khalifa is.

Our review and advice when climbing Burj Khalifa

There is a fence on the observation deck on the 124th floor, but there is an opening between the glasses,
where you can neatly take a good photo

Our review of Burj Khalifa: high :) Around the desert, of course, and a dozen skyscrapers, but if you have never been to this kind of observation deck - worth a visit!
To be honest, we were surprised that the observation deck in Dubai is on par with the Top Of The Rock in New York. Therefore, we decided that, given the excessive excitement, the price of climbing the Burj Khalifa justifies itself exclusively in the morning.

What else do we recommend?

  • After the security check (security check) you are photographed - and it looks like it is necessary - and given a receipt. On it, already at the exit, you can get a photo with the Burj Khalifa in the background. Well, that's it. The photo is primitively photoshopped, but it costs 115 dirhams (almost 2,000 rubles)!
  • On the way to the elevator, the screens show footage from the beginning of construction of the tower to its opening. Interesting!
  • The lift will run from the 1st to the 124th floor in ≈ 1 minute and 10 seconds. We spotted for you, admire the show inside :)
  • Do not forget to go up the stairs to the 125th floor (you never know :)). On the 124th, the terrace is semi-open, above it is fully glazed.
  • From "entertainment" on the observation deck - photographers, endless souvenirs and virtual reality glasses (like climbing a tower, 35 dirhams).
  • In Burj Khalifa, by the way, there is a hotel - 5 * Armani Hotel. Room rates per night - from $ 500.
  • Next to Burj Khalifa - 2 must visit locations: Dubai Mall with its aquarium and waterfall with pearl divers and the Fountain Show (it is also held during the day, but in the evening it is more impressive).
  • And the last thing. In Dubai, I suffered without proper coffee. All sorts of Starbucks, Paul and Caffe Nero - well, it's not tasty there and that's it! But after visiting Burj Khalifa, we stumbled upon it in Dubai Mall - a modern cool coffee shop, where flat white is made, and a filter. Catch the name - Arabica.

What other excursions have we visited in Dubai?

And this is our photo from the morning safari ... / ... and the speedboat ride
from Dubai Marina towards the Burj Al Arab

What else to do in Dubai besides sightseeing tours? Sightseeing is limited, and the city is not suitable for walking at all.
So you think: a day to the beach, a day to the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, a day to Dubai Marina, and then?

Our entertainment program came out like this (links lead to sites where we took excursions - we were looking for where it is more profitable):

  • Evening desert safari - $ 43 (you can save and take a morning safari on GetYourGuide for $ 36, but in English)
  • Climb Burj Khalifa - $ 42
  • Helicopter flight over Dubai - $ 180
  • Speedboat ride (Dubai Marina, Atlantis, Burj Al Arab) - $ 35
  • Sightseeing in Abu Dhabi (Sheikh's palace, mosque and dinner) - $ 60
  • Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo - $ 30

By the way, an individual excursion for 3-5-7 people - moreover, in any country and in Russian - can be found on Tripster. This time we were alone, so no personal guides.

Video from our blog

We shot a 6-minute video about visiting the tower - with beautiful views and up-to-date info :)

On our YouTube channel there is a video about other "Dubai" topics (about prices, beaches and general overview), and about other countries (Turkey, Montenegro, USA).
