What does Thailand promise a tourist in the off-season, namely in the summer? Relax on a bed in a hotel room to the accompaniment of sobbing weather (according to the reviews of those who were NOT in Tai this time of year) or a super-chip vacation in the atmosphere of the king of the whole resort (according to the reviews of those who were)?

They say that a vacation in Thailand in June is certainly thunderstorms, showers, floods, sighs of tourists imprisoned within four walls ... Well, let them say - the less people on the beaches and the cheaper the prices for tours! Meanwhile, the warmest sea, hot sun and magic tom-yam in Thailand is always there, regardless of the season. 🙂

On a note: our statement that the rest in June in Thailand is as good as in the season is by no means unfounded - we ourselves spent 2 weeks in late May and early June in Phuket. I liked absolutely everything - the weather (it rained at night or early morning only, and at most for an hour), and deserted beaches, and the absence of Chinese on excursions.

The only inconvenience was the waves. Sometimes they rose to such an extent that it was no longer possible to jump or dive under them, and we moved to the southern beaches.

The tour, as always, we booked online, but in advance, 4 months before the trip, so the cost came out very reasonable - 65,000 rubles for two. Our favorite and many times "rolled back" services for finding cheap tours are:

  • Travelata is a great helper if you want to save money with early booking
  • Level.Travel - like Travelata, a search engine "for every day", but with a nicer interface and often a larger number of offers
  • Onlinetours - in case you urgently need a last minute tour 🙂

Prices for tours to Thailand in June 2021

Since we started with cheap trips, we will continue with them. Moreover, prices for tours to Thailand in June 2021 with a flight from Moscow start at 70,000 rubles for 10 days.

The cost of vouchers includes flight, transfer, hotel accommodation and insurance. In most cases, you will have to pay for excursions and meals yourself - all-inclusive service in Thai resorts is rare. But the summer price tag in cafes, markets and makashnitsy (mobile carts with cooking food) is pleasantly different from the winter one.

If you are planning a vacation in advance, try to free up more time for the trip: it is not uncommon that a tour for two for 10 days costs on average only 5000 rubles more than a week. Get more sunny days!

Last Minute Hotels in Thailand

You should start looking for the cheapest tours to Thailand 2-3 weeks before the expected departure. Do not dwell on the offers of a particular tour operator, use the online search services for the hottest offers! If you're lucky, you will be able to relax for a quarter less than if you book early.

So, you can buy a hot tour to Thailand in June with a flight from Moscow for 45-50,000 rubles for two.

Holidays in Phuket in June

Is it worth going to Phuket in the summer? No, you need to ask differently: is it worth going to Phuket at a price that is unrealistic for the high season - 60 - 65,000 rubles for two? Probably a rhetorical question.

There are a couple of caveats: a vacation in Thailand in June is unlikely to please if you intend to lie down on the sand and soak in the sea - the waves will make you move. 🙂 If you are flying with a child, we recommend choosing southern beaches in Phuket - Kata or Cape Panwa. The water element is much quieter there.

Holidays in Phuket in June are clearly suitable for those who love solitude and are not afraid of high humidity. At the beginning of summer, there are not many tourists, plus, from May the rainy and monsoon season begins. Rain in Thailand is a sudden ocean of warm water from the sky, pouring for half an hour during the day, or a lingering stream at night, the effects of which dry up by morning. It's nice to get wet under this.

Beach holidays can be spoiled by high waves - and they are especially raging in Phuket on the central Karon Beach - but surfers can only benefit from this. Anyone who is not “on the wave” is advised to settle closer to Patong, Kata or the southern coast. In our guide to Phuket, we pointed out specific beaches where there are no waves at all.

June prices in Phuket - for food, hotels, car rental - differ depending on the distance from the beach, the difference can be up to 50%! Look for non-touristy places and may your wallet be happy.

What to do in Phuket

We rented a bike - 150 baht per day

Holidays in Phuket in June in its "entertaining" component, in principle, is no different from the seasonal. Considering that familiarization with the cultural and beautiful on the island is closely related to frequent movements by transport, in summer you will be pleased with the prices for tuk-tuks, taxis, and bike rental.

  • See the island's three main beaches - Patong, Karon, and Kathu
  • Take a solemn circle along the Big Buddha and stop by the monk tying threads around his wrists at two tourists per minute
  • See how monkeys live at Monkey Hill and elephants at Elephant Farm
  • Sip a cocktail at the Kata Rocks Terrace Restaurant and enjoy stunning views of the bay
  • Drive to the southernmost point of the island - Cape Promthep
  • Of course, do not disregard the famous Bangla Road. Well, just to know what she is (lecherous) 🙂
  • Try tom yum, pad thai and baked mussels in at least 2 different places! And of course Thai ice cream

Is it possible to swim during the rainy season? It is always permissible to enjoy the sea, only if there are no red flags. The weather in Thailand in June is consistently hot, and the water temperature does not drop below + 25 ° C.

Holidays in Pattaya in June

Pattaya coastline view; a la wheat thickets on the island of Koh Lan

In all of summer Thailand, beach holidays are best in Pattaya. The resort does not seem to succumb to weather whims and formidable monsoons. The situation with the unsuitability of the local coast for this beach holiday is frustrating - it is dirty, like the sea, and unsettled.

Therefore, a vacation in Pattaya in June is attractive for tourists not so much with sun loungers and umbrellas, as with a large selection of interesting excursions and nightlife.

What to do in Pattaya?

You can find more or less clean sand on Sai Keo Beach. To do this, you will have to leave the city. Or swim out - for example, to the island of Koh Lan, the most popular option.

By the way, the super-application on the phone, which has repeatedly brought us out of the most deaf dead ends - maps.me. These are detailed maps of cities around the world. Its main plus is that it works offline, i.e. no internet or connection needed. Recommended! 🙂

Holidays in Pattaya in June have a certain merit: excursions will cost significantly less than at any other time.

  • Take advantage of discounts and explore Bangkok's historic landmarks (150 km from resort)
  • Take a 2-day trip to the River Kwai and spend the night at a floating hotel
  • Enjoy wildlife on Koh Chang - Monkey Island
  • Visit Nong Nooch Park for an elephant show and, if you wish, take a ride
  • In the evenings, swing open the doors of nightclubs for a special Asian flavor of nightlife
