Ski complex "Petrovsky". Fans of outdoor activities are happy to spend their winter holidays 75 km north of Veliky Ustyug at a ski base near the village of Petrovskoe. There is a 350 m long slope for downhill skiing, snowboards and cheesecakes, as well as tracks for skating, classic cross-country skiing and snowboarding. On the territory there are cafes and rooms for living.

The winter recreation complex accepts guests from Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 to 21:00, and on weekends from 10:00 to 22:00. One lift costs 30 rubles for adults and 20 rubles for children. A daily ski pass for adults on weekdays will cost 700 rubles, and on weekends and on holidays - 1000 rubles. Children's ski passes are half the price. For an hour's training with an instructor, you need to pay 700-1000 rubles.

Museum of New Year's toys. Since 1998, a museum has been operating in the city, which contains decorations for Christmas and New Year trees. These are more than 1,500 exhibits that have been made in Russia since the beginning of the 20th century. The museum halls contain figures of Santa Claus, shining stars, balls, cones, snowflakes and handmade toys made of glass, papier-mâché, beads and wood.

The museum is located at 7 Commune Square, in the former temple of the Women of Myrrhbearers of the 18th century. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 18:00.
